Our Mission
The Living Hope Foundation exists to bring tangible expressions of hope, dignity, belonging, and renewal to individuals and families in the Pomona community. Rooted in the compassionate love of Christ, we believe every person is sacred, worthy of respect, and deserving of the opportunity to flourish. We seek not to impose our faith, but to witness to the radical love of Jesus through hospitality, solidarity, shared life, and a commitment to walking alongside our neighbors, especially those who have been marginalized, underserved, or overlooked.
Through community-centered initiatives, we nurture the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Our work includes educational support and mentoring for children and youth, job readiness and workforce development, mental health resources, food access, community health initiatives, a teaching kitchen, and other programs that address the practical barriers that prevent individuals and families from flourishing. We are particularly committed to creating meaningful opportunities for those who have historically faced barriers to employment, including formerly incarcerated individuals, because we believe a person's past should not determine the possibilities of their future.
Our Vision
We envision a Pomona where dignity, belonging, health, and opportunity are woven into the fabric of everyday life, and where every person is welcomed, supported, and empowered to flourish.
A central expression of this vision is Sospeso, the social enterprise of the Living Hope Foundation. Located in the heart of downtown Pomona, Sospeso is becoming a community hub where hospitality, education, employment, healthcare access, mental health support, food, and community connection come together under one roof. Through Sospeso, we are creating spaces where people are known by name, where relationships matter, and where individuals can find practical resources, meaningful opportunities, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Since August 2026, Sospeso has hosted a monthly Community Health Fair, providing free health screenings and connecting underserved community members with resources such as groceries, hygiene kits, Metro and bus cards, insurance assistance, and help accessing medical appointments. Sospeso is also creating pathways to meaningful employment, including opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals who have struggled to find a second chance. These efforts reflect the broader mission of Living Hope Foundation: to stand in solidarity with our neighbors and participate in the sacred work of healing, restoration, and renewal.
We invite you to learn more about what we are building through Sospeso and to see this vision taking shape in downtown Pomona at Sospeso Pomona.

Established May 2020
Living Hope Foundation’s vision was born out of 1 Peter 1:3–4 which says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you."
This living hope is more than a belief, it’s a way of being. It calls us to see the inherent worth and sacred dignity in every person, and to extend the mercy and love we’ve received to those around us, especially those on the margins.
The Living Hope Foundation exists to offer tangible expressions of hope to the people of the Pomona, through presence, service, and solidarity. We recognize the beauty and the struggle in every life, and we walk alongside our neighbors with the desire that all might see the goodness in themselves and in one another.
This foundation undergirds everything we do. It's a call to see, serve, and believe in people, in community, and in the transformative hope offered through Jesus.
