Our Vision

At LHF, we embody the compassionate presence of Christ by cultivating spaces of transformation, belonging, and renewal in the heart of Pomona. Rooted in faith and guided by the radical love of Jesus, we seek not to impose but to witness, to walk alongside others through service, hospitality, and shared life.

Our mission is to honor the dignity of every person through community-centered initiatives that nurture the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Through educational support for children, job readiness programs, mental health resources, a teaching kitchen, and a community thrift store, we participate in the sacred work of healing and restoration.

We envision a Pomona where dignity, belonging, and opportunity are woven into the fabric of everyday life and where all individuals are supported, empowered, and inspired to flourish.

Our values guide everything we do:

  • Dignity – Every person is sacred and worthy of respect

  • Belonging – All are welcome, without exception

  • Healing – We hold space for restoration and renewal

  • Hospitality – We serve with open hands and hearts

  • Contemplation in Action – Our faith lived quietly through service

Living Hope Foundation’s vision was born out of 1 Peter 1:3–4 which says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you."

This living hope is more than a belief, it’s a way of being. It calls us to see the inherent worth and sacred dignity in every person, and to extend the mercy and love we’ve received to those around us, especially those on the margins.

The Living Hope Foundation exists to offer tangible expressions of hope to the people of the Pomona, through presence, service, and solidarity. We recognize the beauty and the struggle in every life, and we walk alongside our neighbors with the desire that all might see the goodness in themselves and in one another.

This foundation undergirds everything we do. It's a call to see, serve, and believe in people, in community, and in the transformative hope offered through Jesus.
